Thoresbian

A number of our Gifted and Talented children have been working on recreating ‘The Thoresbian’, which is now published online through this website. The Thoresbian was first published in March 1929 and was the magazine of the then ‘Thoresby Street Central School’. It contained information about changes at the school, such as staff arrangements and uniform and reported on events such as parents evening and sports day. Achievements were listed, such as perfect attendance. There was also a section from the ‘Old Thoresbians’ Association’, detailing reunion events such as dances and various clubs which were available, for example, walking and cycling. Thoresbians have always been proud to have attended this school and must have kept in touch for many years!
